Hi Twiztid and welcome. Seems like you're going through an awful lot of agony, both physically and mentally. Can you share with us what your life was like before these symptoms started three months ago?

Congrats on your weight loss. That's one heck of an accomplishment. So did all of your prior cancer fears turn out to be just fears? Maybe you can use that experience to help you look at your current symptoms as having a good chance of being health anxiety related. I know it doesn't feel that way, just as your previous cancer scares felt absolutely real at the time. Are you on any medication for your health anxiety? Again, sincere congrats on the weight loss. I watch my wife struggle with her weight so I've got a clue as to what a huge success you've had with it.

None of those tests are fun. I wish you only the best in trying to settle those symptoms down and not be so freaked out by them. I sure have seem stranger symptoms turn out to be from anxiety. I was unable to walk one time and it turned out to be anxiety. Just my opinion, but I believe if the doctors would give you something for the anxiety and stress you'd see those symptoms eventually subside.

Hello Twiztid Tragedy. My tongue twitches all the time as well. It's just anxiety...trust me! Try to calming yourself down some. It was subside or go away completely once you've done so. Wishing you the best.

Hello TwiztidTragedy. I only read half of what you wrote and missed the part about the calf twitching. I suffer from health anxiety as well and the predominate symptom I have is muscle twitching. My calves twich all the time as well. I notice when my anxiety is really elevated the twitching gets really bad. ALS is one of those neuromuscular diseases that is progressive and you would not only have muscle twitching but you would have weakness to a point where you can't really move. A neurologist said that with ALS you typically will have muscle weakness 1st before any muscle twitching. It is a fact that high anxiety will cause muscle twitching in some people...you and I being one of them. I have been twitching for years now. Relax and enjoy your beautiful kids.

Hi Twix,
I have upper thigh twitching a lot! And mostly when I’m in one of my panic modes. My eyeball and also my upper tricep goes haywire. The more I focus and think about it, the more it seems to do that. But I know how you feel. Ageless is right, you would definitely have very noticeable weakness awhile before the twitching would happen. I know it’s easy for us/me to say this, but our biggest health fear is probably never going to happen to us, I mean- what are the chances? I should take my own advice ( I’m smack dab in the middle of thinking I have all these different cancers). I know we can’t help how we feel, and how real this feels. It feels so lonely. And also, I’ve held my kids too and cried thinking I’ll never see them grow up. But you know what....we will.
