the birth of my 2nd cousin!

I'm glad to announce I over came one of my fears. My cousin and very close friend had her baby yesterday. She requested I be in the room with her. I had been a little skeptical when she first asked. Only because my anxiety I was worried I would have a panic attack or take away from her experience. It didn't go that way. It was just another day with my best friend. I ended up having to help play and important role during the process and I'm so delighted I was there. I even cried tears of joy when they pulled him out. I'll always remember this day. Thank you for letting me brag guys!

Aww! How wonderful! I'm so happy for all of you! I'm glad you made it through okay, that she made it through okay, and that the baby is healthy. It's so great to be a part of that. I still remember the day when my son was born. It's a really big moment! Congrats, and brag as much as you like!

I had the honor of being present at a friend's delivery once, and it was just magical to share in the joy and the pain and the love. I'm getting chills just thinking about it! It's such a raw, real time to participate in and I'm so glad you were able to keep calm and support her! Thanks for sharing such a wonderful story. I hope you get other opportunities to help others too. If you did really well, you might look into becoming a doula!

I just adore all you guys! This is such an amazing community. I definitely loved the raw realness of the experience. It us something I will recommend everyone try if its someone they truly love. I get to go visit him tomorrow and I'm behond excited.

I previously forgot to mention he was 9.9 lbs. He was 20.5" long. He was such a big healthy baby. He has blue eyes and full head of blonde hair. I couldn't wait for her to play dress up with him in all his little outfits.
