If it's cooler weather, my anxiety tends to be more controlable. However the hotter it gets the more anxious iam . I have severe sensitivity to high temperatures. I feel as though I am on the verge of a heat stroke. I find myself needing alot of water and having to buy ice to hold and have in my lap every summer. Every summer this happens and I don't have an operational air conditioning in my car. Does anyone else here experience this? Is there something else wrong with me?

It must be that you are living in a hot area for you to be feeling like this. I felt like that when I was living in Egypt although without any anxiety symptoms. You would benefit if you fixed the air conditioning in your car, or at least stick a mini fan on the dash board. That should help you stay a little cool.

The thong is that 1 day I was going to the state fair with my husband when all of a sudden I had this overwhelming feeling of doom. I told my husband to say giodbye to me that I was about to die. He stopped the car and I just started running. I didn't know what else to do. I found a convenience store a bout me a drink . I sat in their air conditioning for a few minutes. But, it took me months to recover from that. I stayed anxious and agitated. The feeling of dizziness, feeling faint ,and a reel sense of danger... that didn't go away for six months. I suppose my problem is though is that I was traumatized. I can't understand why any of that happened. I finally sout help for the first time and was given zoloft and busperone hydrochloride . None of which were effective. I took a chance and took myself off the medications only to find that will power worked better. I took myself off caffeine only to find increased anxiety so when I got back on caffeine. . I finally started to feel better agai n. So every sense then... I just can't be out in the heat or I start to feel that way again.

I'm glad to hear that coffee isn't a culprit of making you feel anxious. I have heard that it does but wasn't sure if that was correct or not. My two morning cuppa's are coffee and never considered that they would make me anxious. I've drunk coffee for donkeys years and never thought of it. So I will keep on drinking my two cups a day as it seems as though it's not doing me bad at all.
