In the past I have been diagnosed with a mild form of Over Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and have been able to manage it pretty well with therapy. A lot of children get this also, and I always wondered what some parenting tips would be on this issue. I found out that children should be educated on the issue, depending on their OCD theme, they should give it a name to help externilize it, such as Mr. Germs, Mr. Worry or let them make up their own name for it. This was a great video I came across, and I wanted to share it. What do you think about it?

Thanks for sharing this video. Certainly they have covered the important tips that every parent with a child with OCD may benefit from.

It is a difficult habit to get rid of because of the way the mind set is tuned into believing that a certain things is supposed to be done this particular way and so the body keeps executing it involuntarily.

It can be exhausting too. However, conditional training helps a lot.
