I know I love reading quotes, there are so many that are inspirational to whatever trial we are going through. Here is one of my favorites. Do you have a favorite? If so post some below, I would love to read them.
What a great thread! Good idea @AngelaMc I love reading quotes too, so you have compelled me to find one. This one below is quite ironic as I dreamt about a spaceship last night and it was in the shape of a turtle! So I think this one is apt, not just because of the dream I had, but also the words are meaningful to me. I hope it comes out as a reasonable size! My apologies if it turns out huge. I'm still trying to figure out how to post like this!
These words for me are comforting because I am actually living in my own shell. I tend to think that I shouldn't be like this, that I should be more outgoing and sociable. But, that isn't me at the moment, and it is nice to see this quote from Bill Copeland telling me, in particular, to be at ease in my unsociable ways. Even if it is only for a time while I am going through this healing process.
Thank you @janemariesayed, this is a great quote. It is telling us to be comfortable in our own skin and with our own self. I agree it is a very comforting quote.
Yes, @AngelaMc like your quote, I thought it was quite appropriate for this forum. I hope more of us find more meaningful quotes over time. We can look through them and draw inspiration for healing. I thought it was a great idea for a thread.
This is so true for me in particular. The Dalai Lama never fails to impress me with his quotes and this one really resonates with me. As I am trying to come to terms with my life and all of its tortuous events I am having to do this. I am having to look at each problem from different angles. It may end up making me more understanding. Then, in time, more forgiving. Looking at problems from different angles means that I have to look with compassion.
