Going to therapy is a difficult step with anyone who has anxiety. It takes a lot of bravery for someone to speak one on one with another person about private issues. It's a bit late, but congratulations with your first visit and I hope they've been going well for you since then first visit.

Thanks for the kind comment. And so far it has been going well. My first appointments were very stressful, I was looking away and had trouble keeping eye contact. Since then though it has got easier and I am having less trouble making eye contact now. And I noticed outside of therapy in some situations I can make eye contact a bit easier so that is nice.

A lot of people feel stressed out when they go to their first appointment.  I think a lot of it is a fear of the unknown.  I'm glad it's going well now.  Don't feel bad if you seem to be stuck or even going backward.  That's actually pretty normal, believe it or not.  I think AA has a saying, "It works if you work it", so stick with it.  I'm glad it's giving you results and making your life a bit easier.  It is brave to take that step, and I applaud you for it as well.

Thank you for the kind comment. I can say there has been weeks I have in to appointments with my head down in shame for not meeting a small goal that was set. She always reminds me those goals are set here in a safe environment, take it lightly... I did one of my goals today and followed up with the Frenchys job, it turns out both jobs are filled now. So I am still waiting to hear back from Dollerama, not sure how that will go. I am surprised more places are not calling me for seasonal work but maybe they have their workers already. Either way I have the experience. Sometimes I am stressed at my appointments but it is in passing, so not that bad really.
