Am I the only one that rarely experiences hyperventalation? Is it odd? I was sitting here thinking just now . You here about all these panic attack cases where hyperventilation is a key symptom. Sometimes I can hyperventilate but, rarely. However, I still get the tingling in my fingers and toes and I still get lightheaded and I still get that feeling of doom .. just no hyperventilation. Is this normal ? Could I have a heart problem instead? I've had ekg and a chest x- ray and blood work done everytime I go to the er for a panic attack. There seems to be no other concern from the er point of view. Although once they had to administer medication for my racing heart. The rate was 135 bpm. I guess what I really want to know is. Do others here experience a panic attack with no hyperventilation?
